Two concerts of early music highlighted the day for students of École Mosaïque and École secondaire du Sommet on March 24.

The dynamic duo of Vincent Lauzer (on recorder) and Dorothéa Ventura (on harpsichord) not only played two concerts, but also answered students’ many and varied questions about the instruments, the pieces they chose to play,  and their lives as musicians. And they topped it off with an interview with a francophone journalist from Le Courrier de la Nouvelle-Écosse about their trip to Nova Scotia.

There is no question that “seeds are being planted” among the next generation!

The EMSNS is grateful to the music teachers at the two schools, as well as staff of the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial, who helped facilitate arrangements. Thanks are also due to Mona Curran and Dave Cunningham for driving Vincent and Dorothéa to the schools, and waiting patiently until the interview was over.
