Helios Vocal Ensemble presents “Sweet Flames”

February 15 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join Helios Vocal Ensemble for “Sweet Flames,” an afternoon of love songs spanning the Renaissance to the 20th century, from the sweet and sincere to the passionate—and even the downright bawdy and humorous. Hear confessions of devotion, rapture and heartbreak from composers such as Dowland, Morley, Janequin, Lassus, and Maddalena Casulana, as well as more modern works by Pearsall and Finzi. The concert will be Sunday, February 15th, 2 pm at St George’s Round Church, 2222 Brunswick St, Halifax. Admission is by donation at the door ($20 suggested).
