EMSNS OPENER: Â “Handel with Care”

Play and sing with us as we celebrate the music of one of the geniuses of Baroque music, George Frideric Handel!
Halifax’s own Garth MacPhee, a highly experienced conductor and organist, will lead us on an adventure through Handel’s remarkable choral and orchestral works. All singers and instrumentalists* are welcome! Participation is free for EMSNS members, others by donation.
Garth MacPhee is a native Nova Scotian and a graduate of the Schulich School of Music at McGill University (MMus ’06), where he studied organ with John Grew and Dr William Porter. Garth is director of music at Saint George’s Round Church, and he has also served as conductor of the Seton Cantata Choir and associate conductor of the Nova Scotia Youth Choir.Â
